Dear Delegates, It is my distinct pleasure to invite you all to the 12th session of the Chicago Model United Nations Conference. What began as a small event held on the University of Chicago campus has grown into a premier collegiate conference for crisis committees. We remain committed to the same guiding principles that informed our first conference, that every committee we run will be interesting, that what we simulate will always be innovative, and that we will hold ourselves only to the highest levels of professionalism. ChoMUN continues down this path for the year 2009 by offering fourteen innovative crisis committees from historical and modern eras. Each committee has a dedicated Chair and Crisis Director to provide the leadership and research to create a premier debate experience. As the conference with the lowest staff to delegate ratio on the circuit, you can count on our extensive staff being able to support each committee in its deliberations. If you have never participated on a crisis committee before, you will be amazed at the flexibility and freedom offered by the Chicago format. ChoMUN XII will be held from April 9th to 12th at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, a spacious and modern hotel located conveniently in the heart of downtown Chicago.
